Good, I thought it was just me. Hope they're all ok.

Probably just periodic maintenance.
I'm sure they're on it.

The T1 circuit was bouncing up and down at the end of last week and the carrier wanted to do some "intrusive testing" on the line. I asked them to hold it off until today when the traffic is fairly low.

There is a backup circuit then then I'd have to put down this cool drink, leave the beach, drive back to the office where it's probably really hot, in order to switch it over . . . naw, you guys can get by without it for awhile!

Not to mention, if you left and came back you might not get another parking space.
I don't blame you!

Define 'really hot' John. We've had a week of 100+ degree temperatures here in Georgia, and no rain. Today it's a nice, balmy 95ยบ. I'w really forward looking to a little cooler weather next weekend in Santa Ana!

Hey Kris, I'm a little south of Santa Ana, but all over the county we've had high 90s /low 100s for the past week or so, with enough humidity to make me feel like I'm back in the Philippines.

Rain? What's that?

Not to mention, if you left and came back you might not get another parking space.

I can ALWAYS find a place to park in my garage. But some beachgoers have been known to block my driveway, but that's what tow trucks are for.

On the other hand, hot chicks are always welcome to park in my drive if they'll agree to let me hose the sand off them when they're ready to leave. But I digress.

Nice!
Down here, I quit even trying to get to the beach many years ago...it's just so much hassle. Really gotten crowded.
We occasionally play at the Mission Bay yacht club, and they save us parking spots. Other than that, I'm out of it.

John....offsite active hot standby server, managed thin-route replication...you haven't hired the right person at RIC yet who knows how to do it right...

Rain? What's that?

Come over here and find out ;-) ... we have had so much rain in Germany this summer that I can almost swim in the cellar of my house. In England it has been even worse. They could swim in the streets.
