Rick-O-Gain Output

Should I try it?

I have been wanting to play out my Transonic Amps (T100 and a T200). I wanted to get a fuller sound with them however. Has anyone here ever tried to connect the two of these together with the Rick-O-Gain Output? I believe that it is a simple means to bridge the amps together.

Am I playing with fire (literally) by trying this with two 40 year old amps? Does anyone know where I can get the proper Ric cord to connect the amps?

Should I just contact Bob Rissi?

It was never intended that two full heads be used with "Rick-O-Gain". Essentially that was an output to go to a power amp module only to allow slaving up multiple power amps to one preamp. I'd have to look to see if the output is buffered- if it is there could be some issues if you connected these, given the transistors of that era. If it's not, then it would probably work okay.

Indeed, you could ask Bob about this.

In conclusion, Bob emailed me right back.

He pretty much said the same as Mr Hall.

He also said that he could modify the amps to bridge them together. However since they are solid state they would require insulated couplings.
