Warwick. Opinions?

I've recently purchased a Warwick Corvette Standard Fretless 4 string at a great price with the intention of reselling it and making a little cash. The trouble is, I love it. I've never seriously gotten into fretless before, but this bass is a dream to play. It's as sturdy as a tank (weighs about as much as one also). I just can't say enough good things about it. A friend of mine has a couple of Warwick Dolphins, an eight string and a 4 string active neck through, and they play and sound great as well. I've been a long time Fender fan, and more recently a huge Rickenbacker fan (as are most of you), but have never been so blown away by a bass since my first Ric. Well, enough of me going nuts over this thing. What are everyone's opinions about Warwick basses?

I'm glad to see you decided to keep it! Image

I was at my local GC the other evening and played the one they have there, identical to yours. The sound is great and I guess I can get used to the neck shape. Now if they will just come down on the price. I have a feeling I am the only one who bothers playing it since it is fretless.

Enjoy!!! Image

I had a Warwick Corvette Pro-Line 5. It was a very nice bass, solid as a rock. resonated extremely well, and I Loooovvvveeeedd the adjustable nut.

But when I gave up playing live,, I really didnt need a 5 anymore so I sold it.

Nice basses in my opinion. I'd buy another, but I think I'd opt for the 3 band eq.
