I remember them, but wasn't a big fan. Too much story and not enough head bashing, burning, falling, etc.

I remember them, too... but I'm sure they were in syndication by that time. I'm laughing at the "tags" on that clip: LSD... stoner... hallucinations.

there is something vaguely disturbing about the way the mouths moved. I wonder who thought of that technique and why it's not copied on other cartoons.

Kent - The animators virtually ran this show on pennies. Instead of producing moving characters and scenes, which would be tens of thousands of stills per cartoon, they produced single image stills and had the mouths of the actors placed perfectly. It was never copied because animators at the time were abhorred by the process as it cheapened their art form. Also as kids, we knew this was second rate bottom of the barrel animation. Kids are smart!
