Sean, I think this line draws the most ire:

"the new rickenbacker basses are pure xxxx compared to these older ones"

Of course, I've never played a Ric made after 1979, so I wouldn't know first-hand! But I get the feeling this guy's way off-base.

My 2005 c64 is a superb fit and finish, and my DCM-4003 is in another world.

I could care less about his lack of marketing expertise. I wish the guy would breakdown and at least borrow a digital camera and post a few photo's.

Personally, I could care less about his attitude. As long as the bass isn't stolen, or the proceeds used for some illegal activity, I'd buy it in a second.

The phrase is " could'nt" care less....No photos no email response no ethics.

Either way, if I had a chance to buy a nice instrument cheap, its not like I have to befriend the person. Cash and carry, that's all.

I agree, I'm not going drinking with the guy....I'm just buying a Ric. No pics, no buy though.
