Just thought that I'd mention that on Wednesday Freddie Mercury would have been 61, so I thought it would be fitting to pay a tribute outside Buckingham Palace. After all the other Queen is sometimes there.

Last time I was standing at that spot, Jim, I was bundled up in a long overcoat and carrying an umbrella. I'll be back in London in a month. Save that heat for me, huh?

Do you mean to say that your summer is even colder and rainier (and snowier, heh-heh) than our summer?! I don't belieeeeeve! Image

I think what he means is that the English summer is so very short. It could have been just that one day!

The last time I was there it was summer time and I was forced to wear an overcoat. The weather was cool to say the least.

Queen was a great band with Freddie and he was an incredible singer.

Brian says: Queen was a great band with Freddie and he was an incredible singer.

I don't say I'm as good as Freddie, but I do a pretty good version of "Radio Ga Ga" and "Living On My Own" at the karaoke. Usually gets a good reception and people up on the floor dancing.

I saw them somewhere around the time when Night at The Opera was big.

I saw Queen in 1976 for the Night at the Opera tour in Columbus, Ohio. Saw them again four years later for The Game tour in Cleveland. Freddie was always quite the showman!

Yeah it probably was 76, I saw them at the Springfield (MA) Civic Center. The only thing I was not impressed with was the fact that all the harmony's were taped for Bohemian Rhapsody, although they could hardly do anything else unless they had hired a choir.
