What's everyone's opinion in this green Ric Ed Roman offers for sale. It costs $2500, apparently, but am I the only one who thinks Photoshop was involved?
Are we sure Mr Roman didn't go spaz with a spray gun. I question the authenticity of many of his guitars. For one thing he's got the Washburn Ace Frehley model as currently producing them with the authorization to do so. Washburn made this in the 80's, I never heard of a dealer making guitars still using the original producer's design and logo...
To me , that's the coolest color! And the symbolism (apple-Beatles). But if the picture is snagged from another site, is his selling it legit? I don't have the bucks, but would but if I did. I'm tempted to buy a beater at some point just to have it done in that color. S.R.Boland-there are some PRS's that come in a color close to that, I think they look fine!
I'm convinced! He snagged the photo from the registration site, but offering another model that his guys painted... Someone should call him inquiring about it and have new pix sent over.
One of my biggest guitar mistakes was passing up a Green burst Rick 360 when I was in high school. I had ordered a 320 from a local Rickenbacker dealer and it took months to come in. When it finally arrived he also showed me a Green 360 (that I believe had crushed pearl inlays and was double bound). He told me that Rick had shipped it to him with mine and that they said it had been sitting in their warehouse for several years (this would have been around 1978), and I remember him pointing out that it was still strung with flatwounds. I guess at the time I was too dumb to realize that I could have given him a check for the $75 above the cost of the 320 I had oredered, and borrowed the rest of the money from my parents to put in the bank before the check cleared. I also have to admit that I was a little caught up in my love of the Beatles, too. I went back the next day to see if he would swap me, but it was sold.
To this day I kick myself everytime I've thought of that.
