Pick up not working?

I just got a 4003 '01 and when I push the toggle down for the bridge the bass goes dead and only works with the toggle switch placed in the middle, giving me far too much low end...
When I pull the toggle all the way up for the neck it sounds just the same as placed in the middle... What could be the issue?
Cheers!

Looks like your bridge PU is dead! Check the output with an Ohm-meter at the PU wire ends and the PU coil endings (carefully!).
If so, then contact Sérgio for help (rewiring).

More likely a bad contact/switch problem

I think it might be a bad contact/switch problem as well

I recently had that problem - turned out it was just a bad contact in the jack. Little contact cleaner and it sprung back to life.

it could be a ric-o-sound wiring problem, it could be a bad toggle switch, it could be a dead pickup, it could be a broken wire somewhere under the pickguard ...

Thanks for the info! What would be the best way for me to clean the contact with?
Cheers!

um...I had some contact cleaner and sprayed it into the jack...about as simple as that. I'm not very knowledgeable about wiring diagrams, switches, pots. I've never even had my pickguard or truss rod cover off. All I've ever done is changed the strings...lol. Lucky for me that was it. Good luck in your repairs.

Just checked and the bridge wire isn't attached at all...

Most intertesting - it goes to one side of the toggle switch. Use Joey's schematic to see where:

Josh, that was the best case scenario!

I'm taking it in to the Bass Centre here in Melbourne next week to have it sorted out

Printed out the schematics as well
Cheers!
