I have a reissue horseshoe pickup that has no shoes. Does anyone know where I could find a set so that I can put it back to it's original look?

That coil assembly sure looks crudely put together. Is it totally factory-stock?... I rewound a RI HS pickup a few years back and it certainly didn't look one bit as crude.

That's the way I received it Sergio about a year ago.
It measures 14.54k.
I might add that when I received it, it was disassembled.
I reassembled it as you see it.

All that I need are the "magnets". I have a working pickup and mounting plate. It is currently installed in my 1976 4001 and sounds great. I just want to put the magnets back on instead of having the exposed pickup.

Good luck, Bob, they are rarer than Walrus tusks! Image

Sergio, my RI HS bobbin looks just like that. Mine measures around 11.5k IIRC.

I've got four RI HS's in my possession and they all look just like that.

Maybe some re-issue HS bobbins were put together somewhat crudely then. Not that it matters much though - those things are hot!

Sergio, they "look" like the top and bottom formers are made or heavy kraft paper or such, and the top one, at least on mine, is loose to the magnets as I thought the E string magnet was pushed down but it ended up the former had floated up on the magnets at that end of the coil. Mine is off a recent 4001C64S.
