Once a year. There have been 3 so far that were held at the last weekend of August. Next year, it will probably be more towards the middle of August so not to interfere with people getting back to school, getting their kids back to school or teaching school.
There have also been a couple of mini get-togethers with the local SoCal guys. In fact one should be happening tomorrow evening.

The SoCal Confluence takes place in August in Santa Ana - Where Rickenbackers are made!

Oceanside is not too far from Santa Ana. Drive north on the 5 freeway to get there.

Joey School year here in MD starts around the 16th of Aug for teachers.. so the earlier the better. For some reason they seem to think it is necessary to end summer vacation earlier and earlier each year Image

It's 85 km from Oceanside to Santa Ana - I drive it in an hour or so.

We'll work it out, Tammy. I think next years confluence will be planned out much sooner for travelers conveniences.

DP and the bear want to get in on the planning too if Aitch and Darren are coming!

I cannot wait can you ask DP to take a few more breaks so we can hear during bottles.. I am going to practice.

I'm itchin' already...... no, nothing I contracted from DP but from the anticipation of being there again! Image

Josh: I'll speak to Darren in the next day or so and we'll arrange a Melbourne get-together in the near future...... we'd love to have you join us!

Darren and I can explain the SoCal Confluence rules to you.... it won't take long because there aren't any!! Image

However, the 'bottles' rules are a little complicated and you'll need to pay attention when we go through those. We introduced a 'progressive sentence' game this year, which was a bit of fun...... a 'new game per SoCal' rule sounds like a good idea to me! Image

Bottles would actually be much easier to play if it weren't for the lounge singing stylings of DP. Maybe that's the point. By the way..I seem to remember our Austrailian contingent changing the name to "********" sometime during Friday nights edition.

-What?! No one emailed about this one. I live in So Cal. I'd love to go if there's room available.
Let me know, eh?
