Hey Mitch, I play with Billy Briggs the keyboard player occasionally, usually blues, but he'll pull out a Remains tune here and there. They still tour Europe a few times a year. They are from MA and were big here during the mid 60's. I was playing several of their tunes back then including Why Do I cry, Diddy Wah Diddy, Don't Look Back, couple of other ones. He's told me about that gig, all they had was that one speaker you see on the stage and it wasn't very loud, all they could hear was the drums. Their amps were all offstage and they couldn't hear them at all, were nervous about the gig because of that. Their tour with The Beatles is kind of a blur to him, was 40 years ago. They hung out with them though. It's a shame they never really made it because they were great, were a lot better than a lot of bands that did make it. They really rocked.

Yeah, I keep in touch will Billy, I haven't gotten the new CD however. They were big everywhere in New England I think. They're contemplating touring Spain and Switzerland right now. I keep offering to play bass when their guy retires, no offers yet though, haha!
