... among other things!
Extract here from Clapton's imminent autobiography. He doesn't seem to be doing a whitewash job on himself...

I read Patty's book and she gave a very strong account of him. I can't imagine how much worse he could have portrayed himself. Any idea when his book is coming out?

October 9, according to The Times. That is presumably the British publication date - I would imagine the US date would not be far off that, though.

I've pre ordered it. This link Nick posted lends credibility to Pattie's book.

Last Tuesday, my last day in london, I bought the book as it was relaeased the same day. Read the whole thing on the plane coming home. God knows I had the time! I couldn't let go of it for a moment and after I brezzed through the first 150 pages there was no letting go. Very inciteful. However his recollections of the times with Patti are much better reminised by her. Of course, it would be as she was the abused. Great book. Go get it guys!

I'm about 3/4 done. Man was he a wreck and a ******* for pretty much his whole career. Sure gave off the opposite image.
The short account of losing his son brought me to tears.
It is an easy, but interesting, read. Even his pre fame days.

Not to mention he can't even remember much from that time period, by his own admission...
