SCAMS

Ok so I've been looking for a 4005 for sometime now and I find an ad for one —it reads like this:
VINTAGE 1979 RICKENBACKER 4005 BASS GUITAR WITH ORIGINAL RICKENBACKER CASE. THE BASS IS IN EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN CONDITION. IT HAS BEEN SITTING IN THE CASE AND PLAYED VERY LITTLE. THE FINISH IS MAPLEGLOW AND THE WOOD GRAIN IS VERY FIGURED.THERE ARE NO DINGS,BREAKS OR REPAIRS. IT IS ALL ORIGINAL WITH ALL ORIGINAL STOCK PARTS. THE SERIAL NUMBER IS SG 3860,Email me if you wish to view some pictures
The price is too good to be true ... about the equivalent of$2800.00 US. So I think oh my God —I'm buying this thing. So I send the guy an email, we agree on a price (even less), then he tells me he has moved to a tiny far off (Island), far enough away that it would be difficult to get to, but he can arrange for shipping. I'm thinking is this a scam or is it the real deal? I've decided, after reading a few threads in here recounting some similar ads, that it must be a scam ... so thanks to you ... all my fellow Rick brothers for posting scams in here. I just can't believe the bastards are tempting us with 4005's now ... when we see a deal like this, they must know we start to drool on ourselves, lose our minds and all sense of reason ... what has the world come too?
