It isn't working proper anymore. It always has been a bit cracky, but now it isn't working unless I put my finger on the cover.

Check the video (891kb):

Does anyone have a idea of what might be wrong here? Myself was thinking the pu-selector, cause it's always been a bit noisy and cracky when touching it.

Thanks in advance :)

I can't watch the video while I'm at work but purely from your description it sounds like either a bad connection under the pickup (if pressure on the pickup makes it work) or possibly dirty contacts on the pickup selector switch.

I had a crackly, scratchy sound on my pickup selector switch a while back which got progressively worse in quite a short space of time and eventually it started cutting out. It was easy to fix with some spray one electrical contact cleaner.

Regards,
Steve.

Sounds like a grounding problem. Check to make sure all pickup leads a securly saldered including the lead that goes to the bridge.

I concur, it must be a bad ground, like no ground connection and when you touch it you are completing the ground.

After watching the clip, I would say it's a bad ground as well

Bad ground - either at the back of the pickup or where the cable attaches to the control pots.
