Some fun with "He was a friend of mine"

Here are some nice chords for the bridge: "Though I never met him, I knew him just the same", etc
OK- The chords are A-F#m-D-E.
Try these blends:
X07600 X044200 X00230 0221003M
The first chord is a Pure Prairie League "Aime A"
The second chord is an America "Horse with no name", & Bread "Make it with you" F#m.
The third chord is a D sus2
The forth chord is your basic folk E.
What's going on now, is that the first two chords share an open B & E string, and ALL FOUR chords now have the open high E
Really adds a nice "Bluegrassy" element to the song!

You can also use the same blends for the bridge of The Partridge Family theme song, "C'mon get happy".

Just strap on an Ovation Preacher Deluxe, put on some puka shells & bell-bottoms, and make sure that Danny PLUCKS, and does not STRUM his Bass, and your good to go.

Christian: I am not sure what theme you are using, but it must be the new blue theme. I say this because in the old forum theme your comments are almost impossible to read. Keeping the font black works best for all the forum themes. I selfishly say this because I thoroughly enjoy your posts and find these latest ones a hardship to read.

Christian:With so many of the Byrds songs the alternate tunings and chord variations can make it difficult to capture just the right sound. I especially like the way you test the limits in your interpretation of the Byrds' music.

Thanks so much Peter! That's awfully nice of you to say. Say; how do I attach a picture to an email to you?? I don't see a way to do this when I hit "PM".
The picture I want to send is my all time fave shot of the band (The Preflyte back cover), in which I restored and ebhanced the image in Photoshop, and removed the text.
As you can see, I did tget he image uploaded, but it's SO SMALL you can't see anything. I played with the dpi's and pixels, and would only upload to that tiny size.
Maybe if you could just give an email address off group??
However you'd like to do it.
