Have you heard the new CD by The Red Button? It's called "She's About To Cross My Mind". I don't know for sure if these guys (Seth Swirsky and Mike Ruekberg) play Rick 12's, but I suspect they do. The sounds of chiming 12's are all over this 11-track disc. The mid-period Beatle influences are all over this thing (think "Help!"/"Rubber Soul"/"Revolver"), but I noticed one riff clearly borrowed from a '66 track by The Smoke. Check it out and you'll hear lots of Beatlesque sounds like melodic bass lines (Paul), backwards guitar, double-tracked vocals with echo (John), and some tasteful slide guitar (George). Mostly I was blown away by the 12-string sounds on nearly every track. I am in no way connected with these guys, I'm just amazed by these recordings. It's like 1965/1966 all over again. Where have these guys been hiding?

They have been discussed recently here Randy - http://www.rickresource.com/phpBB3/view ... 1&t=375694

I used the "sound like" The Beatles search on cdbaby.com and found them.

I think that you might also like this guy - http://cdbaby.com/cd/evanhillhouse

His CD artwork is full of Beatle reference points (and he uses a 4001).

Also for a more Cavern-esque style -

and I saw this guy play a top gig supporting Paul Weller -
