I was very tempted to vote for Rob Zombie. Not sure as to what he does (don't remember, albeit the name rings a bell), but a cool name.

OK. Now everybody vote again. And again. Dupliate votes count, apparenty, and Rob's fan club are loading the Dice of the Dead.

Aha, got it. Naah, good i didn't vote for that guy. I did have a suspicion he was somewhere in that area, just my associations with the word (zombie) go back to John Fogerty's 1986 album, which was among my favourites back in times when i was a teenager. The band called Zombies was/is also cool.
BTW, is there any way to see the results of the vote?

I just saw these North of Malibu kids last night- oddly in a place well to the north of Malibu.
Bummer y'all couldn't catch a flight to Santa Rosa, a good time was had by all- we even saved you a few seats.
The sound was great. I sat toward the back of the room during the first set and while everybody seemed to enjoy the set, "Creature" really slayed the crowd (I'm trying to be objective- it is probably also my favorite track from the new CD [that is probably available from someone here or by download.]) The room was still pretty hard, despite the expensive Sonex panels on the ceiling, and it gave the reverb a little afterburner charge- it was great. I don't know if the staff or the audience was prepared for the volume, but the owner guy (?) didn't seem to have a problem with it- and nobody ran, shrieking from the room. The second set I sat up front and it still sounded great. I was a little concerned about people throwing underwear and room keys at the band, but surprisingly most of the patrons kept their lederhosen on. Their tempos were a little on the fast side, but that was harder on their fingers than it was on my ears. Joseph played the only Rickenbacker that was out of the case during the show, a Jetglow 4003 and it sounded great. The Jag and TikiMaster

sounded great through the big Fender rigs. There was even enough reverb!
The music they played was fresh and fun and embodied a great deal of what I liked about the sixties and wasn't weighed down by _any_ bad lyrics, though I must confess that I always want to sing "Batmaaaaan, Batmaaaaaan!" when they start "Impact Zone".
I genuinely liked all the band members, and of course, George and Paul were a blast. I do often wonder when they aren't selling stuff on ebay, doing that Kenpoification, teaching, editing, building, finishing, etc., how they have the time to play mewzik. And be silly.
It was great to double the number of forumite (hmmm, sounds like an element) members I've met.

'Twas great to have you there, Mark, expecting to hear what you did. I think the patrons were happily surprised to hear reverb-soaked surf music with their cabernets and boutique beers!
Doug (the owner) has asked us to do a regular gig there, so that's in the negotiation. He's also expressed interest in ordering a Rick acoustic (George is my mouthpiece on this one...), as he's a Rick owner/enthusiast, former owner of a '65 360/12.
I did bring my Ruby 360/12 WB to the gig, tuned and ready. However, there was such a dearth of space that it stayed in its case the whole night.

... Dupliate votes count, apparenty, ...
I've made it a point to vote every time I log into this forum.
