360/6 Vintage Toaster Pickup Height and Shielding Question

Is there a recommended specification for the pickup height for a Ric 360/6? Other manufacturers (who shall remain nameless) publish "best practice" or baseline specs that serve as a starting point. Does anyone have a suggestion? Also are there any resources that deal with shielding a Ric 360? or should I just hoof it and wing it?

Thanks,

Shih

I just adjust the PU's up to give enough clearance, so that the strings do not contact the PU when I play. I then adjust the bass side down a little because I like a little more treble volume when playing chords. So really its the string height and action that sets my PU heights.

I understand that the foam backing reduces feedback a lot better than the rubber grommets. I think the grommets look better, well more vintage anyway.

I've never had to improve the sheilding on either of my RIC 12's.
