Not that I`m too surprised but got the dreaded e mail from MF yesterday saying delivery on my 360-12 MG has been pushed back till April `08. Originally was to be here 11-1-07.

I`ll keep searching for another in the meantime but was hoping this might come through.

If I decided I wanted a guitar, I would not be willing to wait that long.

Musician's Friend has no idea when they'll get that guitar in. They're totally making that date up.

Call the dealers listed here. I bet you find one today (maybe not MG).

Many 360/12s for sale online right now...AFG, BBR, JG, but no MGs.

And mid blue.

Well I really don`t want to wait at all !! I figured I`d get my name in on an order at MF and just keep looking in the mean time.

I do have myself set on a 360-12 MG and for this kind of cash I don`t want to settle for something I don`t really want.

I keep checking E Bay, C`list, etc.

I've got an '05 360/12 MG in mint condition, but I'd only want to trade it for another 300 series Ric 12-string. Got anything?

If you want to buy a BBR or midnite blue in similar condition, I'll swap you straight across.

I haven't seen the latest prices on eBay. Last I looked, about two or three months ago, they were going at about the same price as a new one. I decided two things: 1. for that kind of bread I'd rather have a new one, and 2. I'll deal with the waiting period. 11 months to go and counting.

Yeah, if anyone out there is jonesin' for a 330/12 MG in mint condition, I would gladly trade my '05 for a 330,340, 360, or 370 12 string in similar condition in any COY, especially Desert gold, amber fireglo, blueburst, or even white, midnight blue, or some fireglos.

I think the real deal with MF is that everything is just a guess- I don't think the factory gives them commitments. I know of several people who got things before they were expected and others who had to endure multiple delays. As it is a bread-and-butter instrument in MG with nothing custom, I wouldn't expect it to take a really long time- but I'm not Nostradamus.

Maybe the deal is just that these newfangled electric gitfiddles are catching on and everybody wants one. Or fifty.

Well, it`s time to cancel that all to often delayed 360-12 MG from MF. After a few late nights up searching for 360-12s I came across Killer Vintage Guitars in MO. They had a beautiful `05 360-12MG for $1299 !!! I emailed them right away, they got right back to me ...plenty of pics. Called them the next day , asked all my question, got all the right answers and bought it !!

Will be here Sat via Fed Ex.

Gonna have the AC15 and Janglebox all warmed up and waiting

If it`s as good as the pics and descriptions from Killer it should be a great deal.

There is a "new" 360/12MG here at the local. I say "new" because the poor thing has been languishing on their wall for about 2 years.

There's nothing wrong with it.
