The perils of shopping online

I recently bough a Zoom H4 from a shop online, I think I ordered it november first. I'm on the east coast of Canada (moncton, NB) and the store I bought it from is in Atlanta.

Well... today, (november 13th) I finally get a nice big box from Atlanta with my new Zoom H4!...

I put in batteries.... huh... it won't turn on...
plug into the wall adapter... huh... won't turn on...

I get a dud... OH THE HUMANITY!

I gave the store a call, (Unique_Squared_Inc on eBay) and the fellow I talked too said that I'm the 2nd person (of about 1000 sales) of the H4 that has had that problem, he said send it right back, we'll take care of it, we'll send you a new one and even test it out to make sure it all works properly, all I gotta do is pay shipping back to Atlanta.

I guess some good came of it, I got a fantastic Customer Service experience out of it, and I got to see what an H4 LOOKS like!

They have almost 1600 feedback, with 100% positive, and I can see how they earned it!

In a way, it'd like... it showed me the bad part of buying online, and also the good part.

Nick, some pedals also have to have a cable plugged into it to finish the battery connection. Had you tried that?

I tried everything John, tried it with the mic sensitivities hi low and mid, tried with my guitar plugged in already... all that kind of stuff...

fortunately, the store is being very understanding and easy to work with. it was really no questions asked, he said "It's not working, send it right back and we'll ship you a new one, and make sure it works"

It was in fact such a good service, I didn't mind at all posting their eBay name in the original message, and I encourage anyone to shop there for audio equipment!

damn, I sound like an Ad...

Star Date : December 2nd.... point 4. (let's see who catches BOTH references...)

I've yet to hear from the store, and canadapost tracking insists that the product was out for delivery on the 24th of November....

they told me they'd ship 2-3 days after receiving it, but no word of them yet, they haven't replied to my email...
They shall receive a phone call from yours truly tomorrow to see whats going down.
