Seattle: Snow, Rain & Flood

I was lucky enough to have a snowy weekend but now everything is insanity as floods and road closures are popping up all over town.
Sorry I've been away for a while. Things at work have picked up since the August Confluence and I've been doing 60-80 hours/week since that time. The good news is that friends and family are going to be getting some good Christmas presents

....I think you'll be safe from the evil snow, J-Dog.
Hi Alisha, don't work too hard!
Now, if the wind would just die down here, thought I was gonna blow away last night....

“road closures are popping up all over town.”
That sounds like a good reason to stay home and relax for the day.

I had a 10x20 tent in the back yard with sides and one end on it (the end facing the wind) and it lifted up backwards and upside down and flew 30 feet and crashed into the back of the house on Sunday while I was looking at it. Let me tell you, that is really freaky to have something happen like that while you're watching! No damage except to some of the legs on the tent which bent, and I just put a tarp over my Volvo 1800S that I had under the tent so it will be fine.
Monday morning on the way to work, a neighbor's basketball hoop with the weight along the bottom that they had in the street fell in front of my car as I was driving along. I skidded into it and the thing went flying. Unfortunately it broke a reflector/marker light and the license plate holder, but I know there are lots of others that are worse off so I'm not really complaining. The storm was pretty bad though. My uncle in Bremerton, WA had a lot of water in his basement, but then when you get 10 inches of rain in a 24 hour period thats not surprising.
We hardly had any snow here though...you got lucky Alisha!
