Countrywide Layoff

My wife, who was a VP at Countrywide got laid off today. I am using this forum to see if anyone knows any headhunters. If not, ok, but when looking for work, it is always wise to leave no stone unturned. She deals with Loan Records, which means anything to do with document storage and review, checking accuracy, etc. Her layoff has more to do with her dept moving to Texas than the general state of Countrywide, IMHO.
Hope you don't mind...

Plano (Dallas Metroplex) isn't that bad!
While my field is completely differ from your wife's, I'll keep her in mind the next a headhunter calls me (I generally get four or five calls a year).

Sorry to hear that Charly. Terrible time of year for this to happen.
Best of luck to both of you going forward.

Charly, I truly believe good people have good things happen to them in their lives, so tell your wife to keep her eyes open and opportunity will knock.

I will check my business cards at work tomorrow, I may have a couple from local headhunters. Hang in there, buddy!

When one door closes another opens ... I was working at a lame Architectural firm in Michigan where management didn't have a clue to the point where they were believing their own lies. People were actually working against each other. So when I lost my job there it was one of the best things that ever happened to my career. Now I work for a world class company that is very profitable, and they actually work with to succeed. In less than a year I already have a really good reputation here. It is so good to be away from the petty power struggles in that old company.
So change is good.

Thanks guys, I have faith it will all work out. I don't think the loan officer thing would fit her Gary. She's more behind the scenes making sure all the records are in order. Sge goes to the Caljobs seminar tomorrow and then the instructor (through a favor for a dear church friend) will help her get her resume in order. This is a very big deal t o us, cuz folks were wanting 150 bucks and up to get it written "right".
All I had to do was start the ball rolling and she's taken the hand off and woosh!
