Oddly enough, Mitch, I would have love to have met him. I think he made the very first R&R record. I bet he had a volume of fantastic stories - good & bad. Wonder if Tina will make a comment to the media.

Yeah I liked Ike I used to have some LPs of Ike Turner the Kings Of Rhythm,early 50's stuff.I remember one song with really distorted guitar,like an amp with a blown speaker(I think that is really what it was).I saw Ike and Tina at Ithaca College in 1971.Great Show,classic.

I saw Ike & Tina at a local canteen, as they were called, near my high school in 1968. Del Valle park in Lakewood, CA.
