Quite a few things don't add up here, and yet I'm not sure...

Pretty sure this is a copy, probably a Maya or a Greco. As it's in Germany, probably a Maya, because I don't think the Greco brand was ever exported to Europe. It would be easier to be certain whether it was fake or not if I could see all the images in hi-res.
Most copies feature bound bodies & triangle inlays - probably the fact that this style is more uncommon makes it more tempting for people to try & pass them off as genuine.

A few things look weird to me too but I'm hardly an expert. What makes you guys positive this is a fake?

Not really rocket science, and I'm not an expert by any stretch, but my early warning signs would be photos that don't show the headstock.

I'm still learning too but the truss rod cover lettering looks "off". I'd post mine to compare but it's lefty. Back of headstock photo shows crooked mounting of tuners. White pickup selector knob? Neck pickup chrome bezel looks wrong-the bezel looks too wide along it's long dimension and the pickup mounting screws look too close to the bezel . In addition, I can't enlarge any photos other than the main one-just that alone is a red flag to me but then again i'm feeling a little red flaggy lately.

The neck pickup, the crooked keywinds, especially the A string keywind. Could just be the blurry pic, but the holes in the tailpiece don't look right to me either. The bridge pickup surround is wrong for that era 4001S and the fingerboard just looks too brown. The seller doesn't show the jackplate nor gives a serial number.

For 110 Euros, I'd have it if I could get my hands on it. It probably sounds OK and I could have fun with a router and a spray gun. I've had an idea for an "art" Rick for some time. No sense in ruining a real one.

Bring it to me, Gareth. I need to try out my new CNC plasma cutter...we'll make a lefty mandolin and a bunch of flaming toothpicks.
And a kool YouTube video, too!

Paul...Do you really have a CNC plasma cutter? What do you use it for? Just curious as I run a CNC machine at my work.

For me the maple is not of RIC quality, and the fretboard is not bubinga. Plus all the other comments.

Surprised it hasn't been pulled yet.
