It's nice to have hi-speed internet again

Week before last while I was on a business trip, my fiber-optic ISP and cable TV provider closed shop and went out of business. I had Dish Network installed on Wednesday and finally had a DSL service up and running yesterday.

Although the DLS service is only about one fourth as fast as the fiber-optic service that I had, accessing the RickResource Forum is a lot better with it than having to use a dial-up service.

I just had DSL installed in my new place...I went with AT&T's Dry Loop service. No home phone service required. It's great.

All is well that ends reasonably well, Richard. Glad you are connected.

I have been with AT&Ts DSL for about 3 years now. They do have higher speed options available in some areas but not here. Fortunately at work we have a T-1 line, but many sites such as youtube are blocked.

I have the Dish Network and DSL combo (1.5M) and it seems to work pretty well for me. Sometimes I've had to pull the power from the DSL modem to reset it, but then all is well. Doesn't happen often.

BTW, let me know if you need any help on the "UHF Pro" remote control(s) if you have set top boxes with those. I know something about them. :)
