A question on TI flatwounds

Hi all!
I'm normally a roundwound user but I'm wanting to put some flats on a Cort acoustic bass that I have. Although the sound is fairly good it would be nice with a bit more thump and a bit less twang.
I was about to fit some D'add chromes until I realised that the bridge on the bass will only fit small ball end strings
Tell me, does the TIs have small ball ends (or at least smaller than regular bass ball ends)? I'm figuring and hoping that they might as they tend to be fitted to vintagey sorts of instruments (hofners, EB-3s and the like)
From what every says about TIs they could almost be considered an investment, but I just need to know if they will fit.
Otherwise the only strings I can fit to this bass are those economy (but decent quality) rounds that are sold with a few different brand names. In Australia we can get them as "puretone strings" Nice string but just not flat!
emac.
