I've heard from some computer guys I know that everything is going to go haywire at the stroke of midnight, 'cos our computers won't recognise the new date. Somethin' about people many years ago not knowing how to enter the year 2008 on a computer properly, so they just keyed in '"08" instead.

Oh, forget it......

I have a 486 in my basement with dos win 3.11 and Unix on it ... it is not y2k compliant ... but along about 2002 it figured out what century it is and it worked ... I'm not sure if it will still boot up ... I haven't run it in a long time ...

All computers now running have a date code that allows 2 or 4 digits for the date. by the year 10000 they will all have a problem because the date will need 5 digits. :!: :D
