Signature line below post?

Not that I have anything cleaver to state, but I just can't seem to get the signature to appear below my posts.
I type it in , preview, then submit. It says has been updated or whatever but no signature appears on my next post.
No biggy, but I just was wondering if I'm doing something wrong or missing a step...
Thanks for any help.

Try logging out of the forum, then back in.

There may be a check box in your preferences that needs to be set. I'll post this and then check in my profile (I currently don't have a signature set up).

User control panel 
Board preferences Edit posting defaults choose "yes" in
Attach my signature by default field.

It seems that after a user activates their signature, it doesn't show up until the next time they post - is this correct?
EDIT: I guess I just proved my own statement.
