Are ALL the 2008 New 4003's coming out of the factory with thin necks
or are they still doing both necks? thin and thicker ?

I ordered a 4003JG and i want the thin neck

That is a good question. JH said a while back that they would produce both necks (two different CNC programs) for the forseeable future.

That's terrible.

Why would they do both neck profiles? That doesn't seem to make any sense, and just confuses the customer as to what they are going to get if they order a new one...

Are they making 2 different necks now here in 2008????

I just thought the same thing. The thread is really just people saying "I like thin" or "I like thick", but I couldn't find a discernable answer other than JH saying not everyone likes the new profile.

I'm not quite sure on what's going on as well. Is RIC planning on producing both necks into the future, or are we in a transition period where both are being produced with the intent that eventually only the newer profile will be produced?

Sorry, I remembered the thread and so I posted the link to it. This time around, I even dug up the original thread. But then I looked at the date - Sept. 1, 2006! Was this the last official word?
