A Few Non-Rick Guitars For Sale

I'm thinking of thinning out my 40+ collection a bit. Nothing wrong with any of these guitars, but I just don't need 'em. The recent guitars were hardly played (i.e. less than a couple of hours in my smoke-free home), so they should be considered mint. Here's what I've got:

1969 Fender Malibu - Made In USA, Looks Like The Ones Played by The Kinks And The Hollies
2000 Phantom Guitar Works Teardrop XII (Red) - Made In India
2003 Epiphone Casino (Vintage Sunburst) - Made In Korea
2004 Fender Stratocaster (Daphne Blue) - Mexican Vintage 50's Series
2006 Fender Stratocaster (Fiesta Red) - Mexican Vintage 50's Series

I will soon list a 1997 Rick 330 MG that is absolutely dead mint. Let me know if any of these guitars interest you and I'll get you details and pictures.

What was the overall quality of the Vox/Phantom Guitars 12 string?

Wow, that was fast. I really like the Phantom Guitar Works reissues. They are much better guitars than the original Vox guitars that I used to collect. Very Strat-like in sound and feel. I've sold off all of my Vox originals and I now have 7 or 8 PGW guitars. This particular 12-string was purchased used on eBay a few years ago. The pickguard and pick-up covers were badly yellowed, so I replaced them with new parts ordered from PGW. It now looks 100% original and very clean. Although the finish has no dings or scratches, there are a few minor chips around the edge of the rear control cavity cover. The guitar needs a set-up to be a good player. I tried adjusting the neck angle with a brass shim, but got it wrong. I don't really have the patience for trial-and-error adjustments, especially on a 12-string.

Looks like nice gear, Randy. Good luck! I'll be your neighbor in less than 6 months (coming to the Dallas area).

Mike: Just a little extra inventory. I need to make room for a few pieces I'd like to add (i.e. matching pair of PGW Brian Jones 6 and 12-string Teardrops, an electric sitar, and another Epi Casino Elitist). My recent acquisition of a Fender 60's Players Strat (Sonic Blue) rendered the two 50's Strats unneccessary. Arrival of my new Rick 330 JG rendered the 330 MG unnecessary. Always looking to improve the collection. Let me be the first to say, "Welcome to the neighborhood", although I recall you saying that a move was imminent more than a year ago. I suppose it doesn't matter how long it takes you to get to Texas, so long as you get there!

I got one of those Sonic Blue Player Strats recently. It's really comfortable to play and looks great. I saw it listed on the Fender price list as "Pale Sonic Blue". I haven't seen a "real" Sonic Blue to compare, but I like the look anyway.

Good luck with your sale--for anyone thinking about it, those Fender Classic '50s strats are wonderful instruments.

How much do you want the Casino for? If it is under $1,000, talk with me...

I hope you have all received replies to your PM's. I've duly answered them all and they are showing my Out Box with the time they went, but they aren't popping up in my Sent Box. Please let me know if you haven't gotten a reply.

Here's my '97 330 MG. Although the R looks black in the photo, all of the hardware is chrome:
