26th January 1788 saw the arrival of the first fleet on Australian shores, whereby settlement of this great country began! 220 years on, and i wish all my Aussie forum mates a very restfull and well-earned long-weekend "Australia Day Holiday"! My second daughter, Kylie is known as a Bi-centennial baby, being born in 1988!
This weekend also marks the anniversary of my 3rd year as a member of this remarkable forum/community! To all the amazing people i have met and conversed with, here and in person, thank-you for a wonderfull 3 years!
3 years, i have owned 4 Rics in that time, and enjoyed all of the wisdom, humor and friendship that i have found here! :D

I was supposed to play at a gig tonight at my local, It's a pity I have to go to work instead. :(

It's ok really, we have not practiced and it would have sounded pretty dire (well actually, more dire than normal..)

I wonder when they will outlaw Australia day as being racist or somthing?

emac. (who is not racist)

It looks like Ron is popping over next Saturday for a jam (usually 1pm to around 6pm) so why don't you join us????? :D

I've just stumbled across this thread. I think the best thing for me to do would be to head for the fridge for a beer, followed by a couple of Sambuca shots. Happy Australia Day

Happy Australia Day to all of you!

You know, I used to consider myself an "ugly American" (no snide remarks after looking at my pic please  ) in the sense that I'd been all over the world and never visited or lived anywhere I thought I would like better than the US....until I visited Australia. My wife and I are dying to get back there...
