Is that a 1973 date code on the pot casings? Chances are she's a November '73 or November '74 4001. Good for parts then - forget about the bass proper.

Another Katrina victim...the center, neck-through portion has warped and curled up. This leads me to say it'd be a tough restoration, though not impossible. However, flood survivors usually have the wood grain opened way up and are likely to re-warp following any attempt to stabilize them.

He sent me an email saying the letters on the jackplate are MK.

MK 5833 makes it a build date of November 1973.
