4001 restoration

Well I finally finished the restoration of my '75 4001.
When I got it it the original pickups had been replaced with Bartolinis, the original finish had been removed and someone had given it a bad rattle can job, complete with runs on the back (The "before" photos don't really show how bad the previous finish was). The finish had also been stripped from the fingerboard and there was a crack by the headstock due to improper truss rod adjustment.
I repaired the neck crack but discovered that there was a slight hump in the fingerboard around the 4th fret. I decided to do a refret and plane the hump out of the board.
I sanded off the rattle can finish and gave it a nice burgundyglo type finish using nitrocellulous laquer. I picked nitro because its easy to work with and I can spray it in my garage.
I replaced the Bartollinis with new Hi-Gains from the Rick boutique and Replaced the broken pickguard.
Anyway, here are some pics:

I don't care what the finish is. It looks like the time spent was worth it.

Well done, Kirk!

Did you thin out the top horn at all? It looks kinda thin for a '75.

No, I didn't do anything to it.
It appears that a previous owner had shaved down the back of the neck a bit as I had to even it out. Nothing drastic, though. Other than that and the fingerboard repair no physical changes.
