Here are various shots of my 1972 Blonde RIC 4001 Bass. It is 100% factory original in 9.8 condition. There are virtually NO dings or marks anywhere on this bass. It sports a very beautiful, quite colourful, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.
It still has most of the cool features including:
Crushed Pearl inlays
Clear thumb-rest
Checkerboard Binding
Toaster neck pickup

Very nice. Where has it been hiding all of these years? Is the nut original? I have never seen a 70's 4001 with anything other than the standard Bakelite nut.

Sweet...

That another gorgeous "time capsule" bass there Mac...

Ted, that looks like an original, period correct white delrin(?) nut to me...

Stunning, one of the best I've ever seen.

An original nut for sure...just like the one on the lefty '72 MG on the RRF T-shirt.
