The Searchers' Farmer John

Just to demonstrate that the Beatles were not the only group in Liverpool to generate enthusiasm,
please have a look at the Seachers' version of Farmer John. I have added the lyrics for those who wish to sing along.

Farmer John

Oh yeah, ah ha, oh yeah, ah ha, oh yeah, ah ha,
oh yeah, ah ha, oh yeah, ah ha, oh yeah.

Mm, Farmer John, I'm in love with your daughter,
oh woe woe, with the champagne eyes.
Yes, she knows that I love her, yeah, but she tells me lies.

I like the way she walks, the way the talks,
she really looks me out, causing me to shout, woe woe.

Now looka here, Farmer John, I'm in love with your daugther,
oh woe woe, with the champagne eyes.
Yes, she knows that I love her, yeah, but she tells me lies.

Great vid Peter!
It sure must have been an experience trying to sing into that wobbly mike!
Simple, catchy rock'n'roll. I loved it.

I know it has been posted here before, but cannot resist. "What'd i say" — another great rocking number from the guys. Yet another wobbly mic... i wonder if that was from the same show as "Farmer John".

(oh, those cold and reserved British gentlemen... heh :D )

This isn't quite as energetic, but it's an equally good performance.
(Hopefully this isn't already on the forum elsewhere!)
