660/12 Headstocks

I see some new 660 12 strings that do not have the slot through headstock design. Is this just on the other models?

Yup, 660/12's were exempt from that change.

Since it is a reissue (almost) of the '63 620/12 used by Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, I'd consider it a vintage reissue and that's why it doesn't have the new headstock design.
