Thought I'd post a pic of these two guitars I have side-by-side as a good example of how Fireglow in the 60's (or anytime for that matter) could vary. The lefty is a '67, and the righty is from late 1964.....it almost looks brown.

That's a good photo John, comparing possibly the era's darkest version, to it's lightest.

A pretty big contrast for sure Andy. I have seen some other Rickenbackers (mainly 425s-450s) that were more like an Orange-glo, whatever red (if any) that was there was long gone.

Someone just bought a '68 366/12 off of ebay today that has one of the darkest burst finishes I've ever seen on a Rickenbacker, like a Burgandy-burst.....I'm wondering if a Forumite got it....

Yeah, saw it....That looked like that darker AG burst you see on a couple of 66's...That one certainly looked like it had a BG thing going. Cool....

I'm not too sure if it sold or not...

As I was contemplating that '68 366/12, someone hit the BIN. Lucky dude. Very cool finish. I'd like to see underneath the guards to see if it says what color it might be. :P

This is a classic instrument, Dale and a blast from the past. I did not expect to see a new 370F model in my lifetime.

John, is the late 1964 guitar blessed with an unbound soundhole? Or are my eyes deceiving me?
