12 String Travel Guitar

Hi Paul,
Unfortunately I'm rick deprived at present on a regular basis, having to fly away for work several weeks at a time. It's such a pain taking a guitar these days. I always did in the past..not sure the old 360/12 enjoyed it by the look of the neck joint! (Ouch!).
What I'd love is a little 12 string with a neck of Ric proportions that I could possible "Take Down" (fold in half) and take it on a plane as hand luggage. I find even a few weeks away, and the feel of the 12's takes a bit to get used to again. My 12's have the older narrow string spaced nuts. At least I could keep my hand in while away from my two real deal Ric 12's.
Just wondering if you've ever considered this sort of design exercise before? Wonder if such an instrument could be made to look reasonably like a guitar (!) and even have some of the nice acoustic properties.
Just a thought..
Si....
