Hi,
I'm new at this forum and I wanted to ask you why there's sometimes such a difference in price for the same guitar between two dealers. I want buy a brand new 660/12 and I'm not talking about uss 200, but uss 800 for example, even uss 1000. That's too much!! I started doubting about the quality of the one that's cheaper.
Can someone explain this to me?
Thanks a lot!

Dealers are technically allowed to charge whatever they want. they can charge you 10 000$ for a Squire Affinity strat if they had a mind to.
Rick's are not exactly common in store instruments, thus making finding one in a store semi-rare. Dealers tend to know this, and tend to take advantage of the fact!
If you see the ones on eBay that are like 3 times what a normal price would be, worry not. these are marketed towards our friends in Europe who have quite a different set of prices for Ricks and most guitars.

Also, rare features like special colors, pickups, etc. will alter the sale price.

The recent price increase is also a factor. Some dealers are using the new list price and some are using the old list price.

Ditto on what everyone has said. It really just underscores the need to shop around. BTW, this also happened on the 75th Anniversary instruments ... some dealers discounted them, others sold them at list, some others were asking over list price.
