Ok, I was playing the 4000 over the weekend and I got to wondering; when did Rick start putting the 19th position marker dots on the "S" basses?

Funny-
I had one of the first v63's off the line and it had a 19th fret dot.
Are you calling Ricks a pile of S?bassduke49 wrote:... from the "wrong" (S) pile:
Hmm, that could be. I haven't seen many early 4000's.From the 4000's I've seen, it likes like the 19th fret dot started
around 71 or early 72.
Around the same time the Shedua strip started.
The pile of "S" boards would have no binding and only dots.....ricosound wrote:Are you calling Ricks a pile of S?bassduke49 wrote:... from the "wrong" (S) pile:
That would line up with going from neck-through to set-neck.chefothefuture wrote:From the 4000's I've seen, it likes like the 19th fret dot started
