Hi guys,

I'm about to buying a Rickenbacker guitar from a dealer, and I wanted to order two 0.0047 caps + two DPDT pots. But the dealer already told me that Ric was not selling accesories at this time. Is this true? BTW: I live in Argentina

They are available here: http://www.rickenbacker.com/cart.asp?ca ... lectronics I would imagine that your dealer should be able to order them through his distributor. If not, do you know anyone in the States you can have them mailed to?

I have the address of the courier in Miami who will send the guitar to me. But the fact is the dealer told me I couldn´t order those items right now from the site. That is not true as I received other people´s replies saying that they have recently bought them.

As an aside, these are not RIC-specific parts. They can be obtained at any good electronics parts factor, worldwide, if you have no success through your dealer.

Ok, but the thing is I don´t know any good electronic store there, cos I don´t live in the States. Believe me, I searched everywhere here in Argentina, and I couldn´t find anything even similar.

Lessee, Andre, when I lived in backwater Brasil, there was an entire street of electronics parts stores in my city. I even got some vintage JBL 15" speakers reconed there for $2.00 each...and Argentina is sooo much more sofisticado..

It's all the other way around. Brasil is more industrialized than Argentina, and you should know that. At downtown there are only 5 electronics store, very poor. I enter each of them with no results at all.

Sorry, I've never visited. But I understand you have some wonderful restaurants in BA and in Brasil I always asked for Argentinian beef.

The potentiometers might be hard to get, you might have to order them by mail, but I don't see why you can't find capacitors.

All the capacitors are in the Argentinian beef.

(How's that for tying these two threads together?)

Ahhh...so that guy in Tijuana who tried to sell me "Argentinian beef capacitors" from his handcart, was serious???
