Wow! Now that is cool. Congrats Ronn. I have been a fan of the Eggmen from the moment I first heard your recordings and saw your videos. You must be a very happy group of guys.

Well, first, speaking for the band and myself, thanks everybody! Special thanks to Phlemmy for the thread and the video. After winning the award 5 years in a row we'd come in 2nd the last 2 years, so it's nice to be on top again. But I guess "Top 2" for 7 years in a row isn't too bad, considering the number of musicians and the level of talent in this town. We're pretty stoked and busier than ever.
A very cool show this Saturday if anyone's gonna be in town; the 2nd Annual Austin Tribute Band Marathon. At Egos on S.Congress. It's from 4PM to Midnight. My side project "OUCH! A Tribute to The Rutles" starts at 9PM, followed by The Eggmen at 10.
At the awards show I got to hang with a buddy of mine I hadn't seen in a while, bassist Gene Kurtz, who wrote the song "Treat her Right", a hit for Joe Head in the Sixties. Joe performed the song at the show, with Gene on Fender Jazz.
Here's Gene and I right before I went onstage to pick up the award.
