BLECH!

I'm sure it plays really well, and sounds great to someone, and looks really neat to someone...and I'm sure someone will be offended by this post, but.....Damn!!!!

Yuck! I'll stick to my traditional, out-dated-design basses.

Be careful when you play it, or you'll poke your eye out!

Looks like something warped in Photoshop, only thing it's real.

I love the color and would absolutely go bonkers if Rick did something with quilted maple. Just dreaming about a perfect world with no backlog. Aside from that, gads, what an interesting shape.

I've played one similar. It's absolutely incredible.

They're definitely different, but I've played a fretted one and it was very nice indeed.

That was photographed underwater, right?

In South America, you see nothing but these Hobbit basses, although Jo Soares' (Brasil's better answer to Jay Leno) bass player, who's about 50, plays a Music Man Sting Ray.

This guy Ritter is an amazing craftsman, but he either needs to lay off the hallucinogenics or maybe just get some fresh air:

Ritter basses are fantastic......they play and sound wonderful and I sort of like the exaggerated looks.

Those basses are very unique. Not ugly, that one with the 13 bolts has that neat splash for the bottom horn. Not everything has to look vintage nowadays guys, get over it.
