White for me. How are you getting it for free?

Surf Green or Sonic Blue. I don't like that color red-too dark(if it were Fiesta Red I'd so go for it)!
White-too plain
Black-too typical
Sunburst-ditto
How can I get a free Strat from MF?

Paul, I don't see any Sonic Blue in there? Otherwise I would have picked it!

Isn't the Strat on the far left as one looks at the photo Sonic Blue? Fender's pale blue is sonic blue, yes? If not, what's it called?
I just looked on Fender's current color chart and I couldn't even find Sonic Blue. The only pale blue listed was "Daphne Blue".

Thanks for the posts. The reason I am getting it free is,I had placed an order or another guitar(Epiphone Slash Sig LP) and MF wrote that they are not going to get that guitar(first run will only be available at retail shops)so they apologized and sent me a gift certificate for $100.I looked through their catalog and decieded that the only thing I really wanted was one of those $99 strats. Here is the ad with all the color options:

You're right Paul, it just doesn't look Sonic Blue to me. Could be my colorblindness again.

Ah, so it's Daphne. The difference is that Daphne is a more deep blue, while Sonic Blue is paler and more comparable to RIC's Blue Boy.

That's COOL!

I thought about suggesting a Fender RI neck, but I didn't even think of the rest. Nice touches. Where did he find that straight vintage style trem arm?
I'd really like to get a U.S. `57 RI in either the Sonic Blue or Fiesta Red but funds do not permit at the moment, and neither color is listed among the choices for the `57. Why Fiesta Red is not listed is beyone me, since it's a period color.
Currently I console myself with my Surf Green model U.S. `57 RI.
I DO have a second US `57 RI in surf green that I haven't even played(one of those keep it new and hide it under the bed in the box type deals). Long story...

A friend of mine had a similar experience with MF a few years back. But with a twist. They were late in shipping the guitar he ordered, and when it finally came, along with it was a Strat. No explanation, just two boxes addressed to him, one with his order and the other a Fender. He kept waiting for a bill, a call, anything. Nada. Obviously, he didn't bother calling them.
