Its nice to see that Jeff's reputation precedes him. It's almost like we know what he is thinking before he thinks it... Image
And to think I got him started on the 5-string bass. Sometimes I can't sleep at night! Image

I wonder if that's really a bass, or is it a baritone. Like the six string that Dan Electro used to put out. I think Music Man still has one too. Aren't they tuned E,A,D,G,B,E one octive lower than the normal guitar tuning? The six string Contra bass is B,E,A,D,G,C

Maybe the seller thinks that if they keep relisting it, someone will break down and fork up the big bucks.

Although if I actually had big bucks...

I said this before, I've done business with these guys (I live in Chicago). They are nice fellas, but overcharge for used and vintage instruments. A few months ago, they had a Burgundy early '73 with the '60s Rick Bass appointments, sans horseshoe of course. The finish on the front and headstock was trashed, the back of the body painted black with spray paint, the neck had gouges in it, and was largely unattractive except for it's relative rarity. They wanted $1900 for it. Ouch!! I've seen better '70s for cheaper. Oh well.
