The bidding was weird. It goes from 1150 to 7850 in one bid, followed by the last bid of 7950. Strange indeed. Something amiss here.

I agree that there is one born every minute, but there is TWO in this auction that bid up that high!

The Custom Classic he has listed now is interesting. I ordered one (specified the wood, color and neck type), waited about 12 months to get it. Mine is a V string, very nice bass, very well constructed and great tone....but it listed for about $2900 and I paid $1900 from a local store. He is saying $3000 list (could be, mine is about a year old)...but in stores $2500 I seriously doubt.

BTW...if Ric had a V'er at the time....well, you know.

Anyone wanna buy a black 07 Jazz bass? I'll cut you a deal and let it go for a mere $7000.

maybe some people have trouble with distinguishing a 1 from a 7, maybe cobalt pickups are worth more that platinum.
