I have just watched the first two parts of a four part series entitled Heavy: The Story Of Metal that is absolutely outstanding. All the major players are interviewed with some great footage. Part one is an introduction and part two looks at the new wave of British metal in the 1970s featuring Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Def Leppard.
I appreciate that this is old news to the Metal Heads, but this review is terrific.
P.S. Bruce Dickinson could belt them out! Checkout the artwork too!

I caught a bit of it on Star Choice Satellite. It seemed very well done. I wish that I had the time to sit and watch it through all four segments.

I found it in torrent form so that's an option if it can't be found on Youtube.

I caught as well this past weekend (it was on one of the Canadian music video channels). Its a must see for anyone interested in an historical overview of the metal genre. It also made me realize that I need to get some Maiden...

I love watching these rockumentaries to find the errors in it. I once ****** off Martin Popoff after he made a series of errors in one of his earlier metal books.
