When DID George last use his Tennesean?

As far as I'm aware of George last used his Gretsch Tennesean during "Rubber Soul", and was last seen with it on "The Music of Lennon and McCartney".

I've read that he used the Tennesean during Sgt. Pepper, but I don't hear any Tennesean "twang". I'm only hearing his Strat, even though I've seen pics of him playing his Casino, and of course, he relied on his Gibson J-160E for acoustic work.

Plus, Paul did a good deal on lead work, too, using a Telecaster and his Casino.

I think sightings caused problems in what went where. I'll give a short example. I recorded a song and did about 3 guitar takes with a strat. didn't like it, so I did 2 takes with my SG and used those on the recording.

result : There was a strat in the "studio" but there was none on the recording.

I don't doubt they had a lot of instruments on hand, and I bet a lot of them didn't make it onto the album.

Until his reviving the use of his Duo-Jet, I'd say that it's a pretty fair assumption that George finished using Gretsch right around late '65. That's about the time that he would have been lining up his guitars that he'd be known for over the next few years, specifically his Strat, Casino, and SG. He has been quoted as saying that he just got sick of his tone with the Gretsch and Vox combo and wanted to move onto something else. Part of the issue was probably the reliance of other contemporaries using many of these same styles of instruments. I'd doubt that he used it after '66 and he probably gave it away as he did some of his other instruments, if it didn't go missing on its own.
