I let my old 330 go, but traded for a new Heritage H-535 today. I've been wanting a 335 style for a while and finally found one that loved me back.

Love from the 'Zoo to you! Just beautiful, with the flame, color, and burst pattern. Happy playing!

My wife asked me last night if it was coming to bed with us. I just can't put it down. The fit and finish on this guitar is amazing. It's the best 335 style I've ever had my hands on, and I played a ton lately trying to find a good one. Plus, I get to support a American guitar manufacturer and help keep the tradition alive in Kalamazoo.

Congrats, Matt!

I think I'll get my 'Gibson Girl' out layer today:

Matt, heritage actually closed and laid off the workers last year for a few months. A local attorney who loved their instruments stepped in and helped them get back on their feet, becoming involved with the business and computerizing the office/record keeping. All the same workers came back so no skill was lost in the transition. They live on and Kazoo thanks you for your support. If you're ever over this way, I believe they still offer factory tours on Wednesdays. We have a couple decent local breweries also.

I had read that. I think it's great that they were able to come back without losing anyone, and hopefully better than ever. There was a great article posted over at the Heritage Owners Club forum about the company.

My wife grew up in Battle Creek, and we get up that way periodically. I'll have to head over and take the tour next time we're there.

Thanks for the link, Matt. I missed that issue. The guy on the bottom left of the cover, Rick Moreno, did some setup work on my 4001 a couple months ago. He has his own shop he works out of in addition to working at Heritage.

Call the factory before you attempt a tour to make sure they still do them. Let me know if you're going, we could hook up.

I had one at one time. Notice the flamed maple pickguard.

They are fabulous guitars - and extremely good value given the top-class build quality. I can't think of an import (even Japanese) that is competitive with Heritage. Isn't that really what made-in-the-USA should be all about? :D
