Has anyone used TuxGuitar?

I recently got this open-source tablature/score writing software (the Windows version) and although I have just started playing around with it. I'm really impressed. As an example, here is what I tabbed for the lead line of The Beatles' What You're Doing:

Recall that I have no formal training or knowledge of musical notation, so I inserted notes in the upper part using trial-and-error until the played notes sounded right to me (and I'm sure the timing, key signature, etc. are not correct). Nonetheless, this pattern sounds pretty close (the initial note might be just a tad too long), and this, to me, appears an excellent learning/teaching tool.

Your first note is indeed a tad to long

You need a dotted quarter to be right on time.

The pitches are right on. For the rhythm, try:

dotted quarter, 8th, 8th, 8th, 8th, 8th tied to quarter, 8th, 8th, 8th dotted quarter. Note the "8th tied to quarter" will cross the bar line.
